MORE Malaysian women are placing orders for foreign lesbian publications through express mail services, reported Sin Chew Daily.
The daily quoted the assistant head of Publication Control and Quran Text Division of the Internal Security Ministry Abu Bakar Ahmad as saying that more of such publications were found during raids by the division.
“Most of the readers order these publications from foreign lesbian organisations and most of them were confiscated at the country’s en-try points such as airports,” he said.
He said such publications were not allowed under the Printing Presses And Publication Act 1984 as it was against the country’s moral standard and they were prohibited from being distributed in Malaysia.
> China Press reported that the Kuen Cheng Alumni Association would go to court for the second time to fight for its rights and status in the school’s board of directors.
Association chairman Jean Lee said that 87.91% of those who attended the alumni’s extra-general assembly on Saturday had agreed that the alumni should bring the case to court.
On July 25, the association had applied for a court injunction to stop the directors from adopting the co-ed policy. The injunction also prohibited the board from executing its duties as well as disallowed the reconstruction of the school.
After setting aside the court injunction last month, the school started its campaign to recruit male students.

The boys had intended to studied in Kuen Cheng for 6 years. Sadly, they had to leave Kuen Cheng because they had failed in their third term exam. The boys were sad, because they were now left stranded. Teachers offered some consolation: teachers said boys would only mature when they were 16 to 18 years old. Headmistress and members of board blamed parents for lack of parental supervision at home. Boys were blamed for being lazy and uninterested in studies.
In discussing whether Kuen Cheng ought to be converted to a co-ed secondary school, we should take into account the academic excellence of its students, and not their sexual preferences. Improve quality of teaching-this is the main point. Students' interest takes priority. Kuen Cheng's first batch of boys had failed because shortage of teachers for Mathematics, Chinese Language, Kemahiran Hidup etc.
17 year old SPM candidates were recruited to teach the boys. Mathematics teachers were changed 3 times in a year. Transferring of temporary teachers after 2-3 months affected the boys studies. Overcrowding students in a class- a class consists of 52 students.
Boys sitting at the back of the class could not hear the teachers' teaching because the class was too big. Noise pollution from nearby construction caused disturbances.
Parents were forced to pay RM 50 for coupon and RM 100 cash for Carnival day. Parents had to pay RM 100 for Centenary Dinner. Parents had assisted Kuen Cheng to raise funds during these two functions. At the end of the year, their boys had to leave Kuen Cheng.
